Warranty FAQs

Common questions about repair warranty coverage.

Does the warranty cover accidental damage?

No. New cracks, drops, bends, pressure damage, liquid damage, and other accidental damage are not covered.

Does opening the device elsewhere affect warranty coverage?

Yes. Warranty coverage may be void if another repair provider attempts repair after the original service.

Do I need proof of repair?

Repair records help verify warranty eligibility and speed up claim processing.

Check if your issue may qualify for warranty coverage.

Answer the questions below to determine whether your repair issue may qualify for warranty coverage. This does not automatically approve coverage — final approval requires device inspection.

1. Was the original repair completed by Primitive Tech Repairs?
2. Is the current issue related to the same repair service performed?
3. Is the device still within the warranty period?
4. Has the device avoided new drops, cracks, bends, pressure damage, or physical damage?
5. Is the LCD/OLED display free from new black spots, colored lines, bleeding, flickering, pressure marks, or internal display damage?
6. Has the device avoided liquid exposure after the original repair?
7. Has the device avoided third-party repair attempts after the original repair?
8. Is the issue unrelated to software, settings, accessories, chargers, or unrelated parts?
9. Do you understand final warranty approval requires device inspection?
